For many years, I had the opportunity to structure an institutional space and thus reflect on the tension between artistic practice and political, social space. My return to freelance work coincided with the final collapse of the postwar Western order and its ideological division of the world into good and evil, top and bottom, inclusion and exclusion. As an author, I move in sedimented territory whose legibility is shaped by historical constraints and hypocrisies. Art is aware of the dialectic of subjectification and subjugation. The infrastructures assigned to it, however, are losing their credibility or positioning themselves in controversial constellations of power and powerlessness.
